T S Eliot’s Four Quartets - Quartet 1: ”Burnt Norton”
T. S. Eliot is arguably THE poetic voice of the early 20th century, and is a perennial favorite of mine. His justly famous FOUR QUARTETS mixes the brilliance of his early poetry with the wisdom of age in his post-conversion Christian work. Eliot considered it his masterpiece, and it was certainly important in his winning the Nobel Prize. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Christian Atheist finds in this Christian convert a thinker and a poet of profound voice and inspiration. This is the first of his Four Quartets, "Burnt Norton." Enjoy!
